TEACH

TEACH is a two-week rotation for junior residents focused on developing supervisory and clinical teaching skills. On this rotation, residents are tasked with developing a case-based noon conference lecture and a chalk talk. The lecture and the chalk talk are each delivered twice, once to residents at BMC and once at BCH, with the intent to synthesize feedback and integrate new teaching strategies. Each resident is paired with a dedicated TEACH mentor who attends each of these sessions and provides coaching on identified areas for improvement. Finally, in order to practice providing feedback on clinical skills, residents attend rounds at BMC and BCH in a non-clinical capacity to support and provide feedback to interns and medical students on presentations and clinical skills.
